Press Start: Level 2

This is the sequel album to my first royalty free Chiptune album Press Start. Like the previous album it's for independent gamers who want music for their games. This one has songs that have specific levels and scenes in mind. From Water temples to Space to Final Boss.

Press Start Level 2: PC Edition

Like before I made a synth version for kicks. Of course if anyone wants to make a PC Game or a 3D console game, they are welcome to do so.

CIEIR Christmas Carols 2

It's that time of the year again and that means more carols. I had much fun the last time I did this so I thought I'd try to do one every year.

A Salute to Spirals

To Celebrate the New Year and to welcome the possibility of Uzumaki's anime adaptation of coming soon I decide to do this song. Now I'm not gonna lie, I will never be good as Colin Stetson. His work was phenomenal in Color Out of Space and I know his work will be good in the Anime. However taking inspiration from him I decided through my work to do a slightly scary tune that much like Stetsons work would give the feeling you're listening to a spiral. The tune itself goes up and down while each approaching instrument can either represent new spirals forming or the eventual fusion of spirals much like the Manga. With everything winding down in the end.

The cover art was inspired by Uzumaki. Specifically the apparition of Shucihi's father that appears in the smokey ashes of his remains.

The Badge of Love

Inspired by a picture I entered in an art contest as you can see here www.newgrounds.com/art/view/cieirmusic/the-badge-of-love-concept-of-love-2021-contest I decided to write a song based on that concept.
The bass drum represents the heart while the snare represents the potential lover digging their way through the nigh unbreakable and dangerous layers into their potential love's heart.
I figured I'd make at least one Valentine's related song even if it's a month early.

Octave of Suspense

Thought I'd do another experiment. Which I haven't done for a while. In this case, I was doing an experiment in octave change. I made a simple tune, which if taken up or down an octave, would sound like a tense suspenseful song.

Exploring a Dark Room

After my Octave song, I decided to put my experiment into play by making an tense action song. The idea being that you're exploring a dark room. Not able to see where you're going, but also doing your best to avoid the villains.

The Jester's Redemption

This Album was inspired by a line in the Talmud "Who shall bring redemption, but the jesters?"

Putting it to play I decided to do something I haven't done in a while. Make a wordless story album. In this case, it takes place in the not too distant future. In a futuristic Medieval Village. The Jester is a well respected entertainer who comes once a year to entertain the crowd with his humour and spectacle. The latter of which is rumoured to be a mix of Magic and Technology. However not all is well in the town. For a sad customer catches his attention. The good nature he is, the Jester decides to help the customer out. Unfortunately before he can, the customer dies. In a bid to redeem himself for not helping sooner, the Jester vows to find whoever killed the poor soul. Beware the silly ones indeed.

Walking Down a Dark Street

Be careful when you're walking down a dark street. You never know who is watching.

A Hero's First Day

Whether you're a Dark Knight, A Man of Steel or a Daughter of Destiny everyone knows that the first day on a Superhero's Job is gonna be the toughest. This inspiring action oriented track is meant to show the struggle on the first day.

Relax and Think Of Tomorrow

Thought I'd do something a little different and try my hand at some relaxation music. Hopefully this would set your mind at ease.

Relax and Think of Tomorrow: With Words

I thought I'd add some words to this song. With the exception of my audio drama this is the first track I've ever done where I've added words.

Lucky 13

Many people attribute the number 13 to all kinds of bad luck. Friday the 13th, Apollo 13, you name it. The number has often wrought disaster for some. To me it's a good luck number. However that doesn't mean I can't make people dread it more. This song is the paranoia of bad luck personified. Lot's of tension, lot's of edge, with just a slight calm before it begins again and even the calm is scary.

Creeping March of War

This was a song that was brewing in my head for years, but up until now I wasn't able to get it out of my dreams and into the sheet music. It's been a while since I did a war related track and this one while initially action themed, has a tinge of horror. The song itself is a march that's meant to be played in a loop. Each instrument added is another person marching along with the first foot soldier.

The bloody footprint next to the helmet is not meant to be a fallen soldier or an enemy, but rather the people truly behind wars. Governments, the Rich and Powerful. Anyone who's wallets get lighter the more there's peace.

I don't know why, but after listening to this song once finished, I felt a sense of dread and regret. As though I created a monster. Which in a way I did. My God what have I done!? WHAT HAVE I DONE!?
I also did an orchestral and Chiptune version.

Immortality Blues

Haven't done a mini-album in a while so I thought I'd do one now. This one is all about a 1000 year old Immortal Lamenting at the point of his immortality and the curse it brings with it.

 Tip Toe Waltz

Thought I'd do another waltz. In this case I wanted to do a harmonizing waltz. However it spiralled into a very surreal and bizarre synth piece that I couldn't resist making.

However not wasting a good idea I made a piano version too.

Perseverance  Against All Odds

I figured I go back to my roots a bit and create a song that can be Orchestral, Synthesizer and Chiptune style. In this case the song is perseverance personified. The idea of moving forward and never giving up on what you believe in. Even if others try to sway you otherwise.

Increasing Paranoia of Bad Luck: Inspired By Ashes

As a result of a private message between myself and shintsukimi205, I made a song that is both inspired by my own self-awareness of my increasing bad luck and a picture produced by Shint that has come with a story that is very relatable to it:

Over the past 10 years I've noticed that no matter what I do to try to improve myself, there has been an unnatural abundance of bad luck that completely throws a wrench at me. I once remarked that I've had so much bad luck that it made me feel like a Gothic Leprechaun. Hence why the cover art is a dark grey four leaf clover. The result of which has caused me to be paranoid to even the most minor of bad luck occurrences. Something only few people seem to understand.

Initially I was gonna do a sad song about it, but I thought, Nah. I want to scare the hell out of people. The song itself represents the state of one's mind as each instrument stacking becomes an increase of the severity of bad luck as well as causing the mind of the victim of it to become increasingly unhinged. Anyone with a heart condition, I advise not to listen to it.

 Journey Into Yourself

This mini-album is dedicated to the Journey everyone must take to finde themselves in life. The beginning and end is all about a lone wanderer finding a spot to meditate while the middle is them in that meditative state. Once finished, the song continues as the wanderer continues their journey.

I made two versions. One Synth. One Orchestral.

 Just Breathe

After getting some feedback on "Relax and Think of Tomorrow", I tried to make another attempt at positive relaxing music. What I didn't count on until I was finished it, that this particular song would be the longest I ever made. Clocking in around 17 minutes.

The song itself was inspired by a quote from Karate Kid Part II, in which Miyagi says "When feel life out of focus, always return to basic of life. Breathing. No breathe no life."

So I thought I'd try to make a song that people could sync their breathing into. Let me know if it works.

Effects of a Vaccine

It has been one week since I've taken the Pfizer Vaccine and after a harrowing journey through it I've periodically made music based on the various stages of the effects. The initial injection, the unexpected side effects and the relief and recovery that eventually followed.

Breathe Deep

After some practice with my older songs, I decided to go for it and make a song from scratch with lyrics.

I decided to do something more positive just to see if the lyrical program I used would fit in with positive stuff as it did with the dark stuff.

This is kinda sorta a semi-sequel to another song I did called Just Breathe.

However rather than go the orchestral route like the last one, this one is pure synth. While I was working on the lyric program to make it sound a little more better, I wanted to see if I could make it sound like more than one person was singing in harmony. So after finishing the lyric section I used Audacity to put the track on there twice with the other at a different pitch. After many attempts I at first kept making a very demonic voice. However I managed to make something a lot more positive. How I managed to make them sound similar to The Shojibin from Mothra is a happy accident, but one that really helps with the song.

Like the last song it's meant to sync with your breathing while the lyrics, if you can understand them through concentration, guide you through a meditation.
